India is all set to play its second match against the debutant Nepal first time ever on 4 September, Monday for the Group Stage match of Asia Cup 2023. Both teams have played one match against Pakistan who already have qualified for Super Four level.

Nepal lost to Pakistan in the opening match with a huge margin of 238 runs in Multan Cricket Stadium. Pakistan thrashed the Nepal team with 151 runs of Babar Azam and 109 runs of Iftikhar Ahmad while Shadab Khan took 4 wickets. Nepal is now at the lowest position on the points table with no points.

On the other hand, India despite losing 4 early wickets, got rescued by Kishan and Pandya to score a fighting total of 266 runs. However, the high voltage Pak- India clash ended in disappointment as rain won, bestowing 1 point to each team.

Weather Forecast for India vs. Nepal Asia Cup 2023

The India vs. Nepal match is also expected to fall victim to rain as the Ballagolla storm can again mark its presence as it did in India vs. Pakistan. It is the same Pallekele Stadium where rain ruined the charm and thrill between arch-rivals.

Though India is not at a loss even if rain interrupts the match but Nepali team and fans can get really disappointed. Their dream is to play against a wonderful team to get experience for them and entertainment for the fans.

It helped Pakistani bowlers to seam in early overs to take strong wickets of Indian Players. Later on, it also helped Indian middle-order batters when they got settled on the pitch.

India or Nepal, Who will qualify for Super Four?

After losing to Pakistan, Nepal has zero points in its credit. On the contrary, India got a point in case of no result due to rain during India Pakistan match. The only chance for Nepal is to win from India to score two points to excel on the points table.

India vs. Nepal is more likely to be interrupted by rain. If so, India can simply qualify by securing another point to succeed with a total of two points.

In comparison, whether rain plays its role or not, India is a strong team to qualify for the Super Four as it is a better and stronger team.
