The University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Law is currently seeking eligible candidates for Fully Funded Ph.D. places in International Law and (InterMil) Military Operations, Supervision, and Court Modernization through highly qualified academics. Eligibility Requirements for Application:

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the University of Copenhagen Ph.D. Scholarship in International Law and Military Operations in Denmark:

  • This grant is open to both native and international students.
  • The first cycle is 120 ECTS (two years of full-time study), of which 180 ECTS is a bachelor’s degree (three years full-time). or an equal level of education
  • Applicants with non-Danish master’s degrees will have their degree evaluated by the
  • Ministry of Higher Education and Science to see if it is equal to a Danish master’s degree.
  • According to the Danish Grading Scale, applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 8.2 or better at the Master’s level.
  • Prior to completing the Master’s program, applicants may submit their applications.
  • Before the start date, an MS degree must be obtained.
  • To demonstrate that they are capable of executing the work required to produce a doctoral dissertation, applicants must document their research potential by analyzing their final thesis, publications, or academic recommendations.
  • Applicants must have good language skills as well as excellent English communication skills.
  • Applicants must be competent to teach at an academic level in Danish or English and be enrolled in an English Ph.D. program.
